DescriptionThese small, seashell-shaped Higashi (a traditional, pressed, dry Japanese sweet) are made of Wasanbon (a high-quality fine-grained sugar) produced in the Kagawa Prefecture. Shaped individually using a wooden mold carved by the Wagashi artisan about 100 years ago, this product represents the combination of nature and modern art in Naoshima.

The white seashell is made of Wasanbon, and the marbled seashell, inspired by the sandy beach, is made by mixing Wasanbon with Okinawa Kokuto (brown sugar).
